Your Legacy

Your Legacy

Warrior Princess, its been a couple of weeks since I have written to you. I took a few weeks off to rest but back to encourage you today.  Last Friday I went to a dear friends memorial after her fight with cancer. She was such an amazing woman with such an incredible heart and love for Jesus. The most beautiful moment of her celebration was how much it was told and over and over her love for the Lord. It was such a testament of strong faith and belief of who Jesus is and was through her fight.  This beautiful woman continues to share His love and her faith even fighting through two bought of cancer and losing her husband. Also when she was told that there was nothing else that could be done by the doctors, she still shared her story of her Savior.  The legacy she left with her children, grandchildren and those who knew her is so remarkable.

My question to you, what legacy will you leave once the Lord calls you home? Will it be a legacy that demonstrated who Christ is? Who we are in Christ needs to be the first things people should know about who we are and should be left with once we leave this world.  What I want people to remember most about me is that I love Jesus with everything in me. I do not want people only to remember how I loved on others and encourage them but its Him that I want to leave that lasting impression that is tattooed to their hearts.

My dear friend was the perfect example of Colossians 3:12-17 I pray I can follow in her footsteps the same way as Paul has encourage.

12. Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive. 14 Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,[d] singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
