Women of Black Panther
Warrior Princess, the three main ladies of the Black Panthers are Nakia, Okoye, and Shuri. These ladies exhibit some of the strongest characters of sisters ever on film. Their characters demonstrated such grace, strength, beauty, intelligence, confidence, and courage. You couldn’t ignore the impact of their roles throughout the whole movie.
Foremost Nakia, the Black Panther‘s leading lady was the strongest and the most free-spirited woman, full of passion and vision to help her people! Secondly, Okoye the Black Panther guard was the powerful female warrior and very loyal to the king and the throne of Wakanda. She fought for her people and country. Lastly, Shuri is the Black Panther’s sister who was very smart and an intelligent young woman. She exudes such excitement in everything she does!
When I was a little girl, the one woman of color on TV that I loved watching every week and wanted to be like was the sassy and cool Christy Love from the TV show “Get Christy Love.” She was the coolest sister on TV back then. She was a police officer, who took down the bad guys and kicked some butt every week. So, to see each of these women in the Black Panther, playing such strong women, with passion, strength and intelligent was so cool and refreshing.
The Black Panther was the main superhero on the screen, but I felt each of these ladies were their own superheroes, who fought for their country and their people. They were a great example of great strength even though they didn’t have any supernatural superpowers. They had some of the strongest superpowers that we as women have ourselves. It’s one of the reasons I love the title of my blog, Warrior Princess Attitude! We are strong, brave, beautiful, intelligent, and courageous women, who live and fight for our King! We have overcome so many things in our personal lives and have had our own impact where we live and serve.
Ladies if you lack confidence and think you are nothing like these characters, I want you to stop the negative thinking and embrace the truth! You are a Warrior Princess with an attitude of faith! You are brave and full of strength! You are courageous and changing lives for the Kingdom of God every single day!
